Summer in Hokkaido

Honeymoone has a feature on Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan, which boasts a really beautiful summer, with lavendar and tulips and fields of flowers, not to forget the fantastic mountain scenery.
To be sure, Hokkaido is a place best suited for those who can drive, as the public transport network isn’t quite as comprehensive as the rest of japan.
Fly into Sapporo via Tokyo or Osaka. JAP and ANA do offer good packages - check with your local travel agent.
